Planning a route between venues

Most hens and stag nights move through two or three areas. These are close enough to link up in one booking:

• Karangahape Road: bars and late venues with plenty of character, at the top of the city.
• Ponsonby: a long run of restaurants and bars along Ponsonby Road, good for dinner.
• Viaduct Harbour: waterfront bars, often the place to finish with harbour views.

• $1,000 split between 8 people is $125 each.

These figures use the “from” price. Your actual quote depends on the date, hours, stops and whether you book one limo or both, so divide the final figure once it arrives. Many organisers collect each share before the night so nobody is chasing money afterwards. If some guests are joining for only part of the night, agree up front how their share works so it stays fair.

Build a run sheet

A one-page run sheet saves a lot of phone calls on the night. Share it with your chauffeur and one or two people in the group.

1. Pickup address and time for each person or group.
2. First venue, with its street address.
3. Rough time at each venue.
4. Any photo stop on the way.
5. Final venue and the end time of the booking.
6. Drop-off addresses at the end of the night, if needed.
