Limo hire North Shore: suburb by suburb

The Shore is long and narrow, so where you start makes a real difference to the plan.

Takapuna: the busiest dining strip on the Shore, with Hurstmere Road running beside the beach. It works as a pickup point, a dinner stop or the finish of a night out without ever crossing the bridge.
Devonport: heritage villas, narrow streets and one main way in and out along Lake Road, which can be slow at busy times. Allow extra time for pickups here, and mention any tight driveways in your notes.
Milford: a quieter village feel with a beach and the marina. Good for a relaxed pre-dinner gathering before moving on to Takapuna or the city.
Browns Bay: a beachfront town centre on the East Coast Bays. Groups from Mairangi Bay, Torbay and Murrays Bay often meet here first.
Albany: the northern end of the urban Shore, with the big shopping centre, North Harbour Stadium and business parks. It sits right on the Northern Motorway, which makes it a practical starting point for longer trips.

Getting off the Shore: bridge and motorway routes

Most trips into the city use the Northern Motorway (SH1) and the Auckland Harbour Bridge. It is the most direct route, but it is also the one most affected by peak-hour traffic and by events.

Into the CBD or Viaduct Harbour: usually over the Harbour Bridge. Allow extra time on Friday and Saturday evenings and when there is a big event in town.
To Auckland Airport: either over the bridge and through the central motorways, or west along the Upper Harbour Motorway (SH18), then SH16, the Waterview Tunnel and SH20. Your chauffeur can choose the route on the day.
To West Auckland: SH18 across the upper harbour avoids the bridge altogether.

Photo stops on the North Shore

The Shore has a lot of coastline, so photo stops are easy to fit into a booking.

Takapuna Beach: with Rangitoto Island across the water. The reserve at the southern end is a short walk from the road.
Devonport waterfront: King Edward Parade looks straight across the harbour to the city skyline, which works well for evening group shots.
Mt Victoria (Takarunga): wide views over the harbour. Vehicle access to the summit has been limited at times, so do not count on the limo driving to the top. Plan for a short walk, or treat the waterfront as your backup.
Milford Beach and Browns Bay: quieter spots for a quick stop on the way out.

Each stop uses booked time, so add them to your notes and build them into the hours you choose.

Occasions North Shore groups book for

School ball season brings plenty of pre-ball gatherings at family homes across the Shore, with the venue often across the bridge in the city. Book both limos if your group is more than 10, and keep the photo stop close to home so you are not rushing over the bridge.

Concerts and sport are another common reason to book. A limo can take a group from Takapuna to Spark Arena or Go Media Stadium Mt Smart, and the hours you book can cover the trip home.
