Where to go for dinner

Auckland has plenty of dinner areas that suit a limo night. Always book your table first, then build the limo times around it.

• Viaduct Harbour: waterfront restaurants with views of boats and city lights. Drop-offs can be slow on busy nights, so allow extra time.
• Ponsonby Road: a long strip of restaurants and bars, so you can walk from dinner to a nightcap and meet the limo after.
• Britomart: restaurants in the lanes near the waterfront in the central city.
• Mission Bay: beachside dining on Tamaki Drive, with a walk along the sand before or after.
• Takapuna: a North Shore option near the beach for couples who would rather not cross the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

How should you time the evening?

February is summer in Auckland, so evenings stay light late. A common plan looks like this:

1. Pickup: early evening from home or a hotel.
